Maldives

A jewell in the indian Ocean. One of Gods greatest creations which captures the imaginations of all who visits the wonderful Islands. There are around 200 tiny islands, which make up the Maldives, most are now inhabited by humans who peacefully live their reserved life. Others are used to create wonderful, peaceful and ultra romantic island retreats for travellers and honeymooners. Take time to explore the wonderful islands of the Maldives.

Language

Languages spoken in the Maldives are Dhivehi and English. The staff at the One&Only resorts has multilingual staff.

Currency

Local currency is the Maldivian Rufiyaa (MRf). Although all billings are made in US dollars, most other foreign currencies can be exchanged at the resort. Please note, however, that the Maldivian Rufiyaa cannot be exchanged for any other currencies at the resort.

Electricity

Electrical outlets in the villas are 220-240 volts. There is a 110/220 volt shaving point in the vanity area of the bathroom.

Time zone

Six hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time (GMT +6).

Weather

The Maldives has a tropical climate, with two main seasons. December to May is light and fairly dry. June
to November occasionally brings brief rain showers followed by sunshine. The temperature ranges from mid-20s to mid-30s centigrade (77 to 95 degrees Fahrenheit) and is highest in April and May.
